The days of braces, headgear and other painful orthodontic contraptions are over. The nearly invisible aligners from our Tinley Park's Invisalign remove all the embarrassing trappings that were once the hallmark of orthodontics. But with Invisalign, you can achieve that straighter smile and no one will know but you!
Invisalign employs state-of-the-art digital technology to construct a complete model of your mouth. From these models, a series of clear trays are constructed out of medical-grade plastic. These trays, unlike old-fashioned braces, are almost completely invisible to the naked eye.
The trays cover your teeth, guiding them over time into a satisfying, symmetrical alignment. You will receive several aligners at the same time. This gives you the freedom to change the aligners yourself every two weeks, rather than having to return to the dentist to have them adjusted or replaced.
Invisalign is a treatment that goes beyond the limited function that braces once performed. Recent advancements have turned Invisalign into the top choice for teen patients. Each patient is unique and your dentist will work with you and your family to achieve your specific smile goals.

Your treatment begins when you receive your first set of aligners. They must be worn 20-22 hours a day to achieve optimal results. They should be removed only for eating, drinking, and your routine dental hygiene.
You may experience some discomfort at first. Your teeth may feel looser than usual. These are normal sensations that occur as your gums heal and reform around each tooth. You will adjust to the way the aligners feel over time.
Unlike old-fashioned braces, patients are free to eat or drink anything they chose during the treatment. Smoking is discouraged because it may cause staining. Gum or sticky snacks are best enjoyed after you remove your aligners. Just don’t forget to put them back in after you eat.
With most Invisalign plans, your dentist will swap out the aligners every 1-2 weeks. Unlike traditional braces, however, there is no need to come in for painful adjustments. The treatment generally lasts 12-18 months, but most patients report a noticeable change in just a few weeks!
